Dorothy was born in Hydaburg, Alaska to the Raven Clan from the Brown Bear House of Howkan, Alaska.She began her career as a Haida artist in 1978. Her work as an artist in traditional art forms of her people have brought her international recognition in the world art arena, particularly with seven museums across Canada and the United States.
