Killer Whale Plaque This hand-carved killer whale plaque by Herman Peter measures 13 inches in length, .5 inches in width, and 33 inches tall. Born on January 10, 1954 on Kuper Island, B.C. Herman Peter has always been surrounded in the rich cultural heritage of his birth. Affiliated with the Coast Salish nation, he learned traditional woodcarving from his nephew, Glenn Edwards of Vancouver Island. Most noted for his wood plaques, he has established a refined and sophisticated personal style in only a three year period.
