Salmon Feast This hand carved piece is done in red cedar, inlaid with abalone shell, by Herman Peter, a Tsimshian artist from Kuper Island, B.C. He is a very talented artist who has been transforming his red and yellow cedar plaques into cultural art for many years.He creates designs representing eagles, seals, ravens, killer whales, and bears. Herman’s work is very precise and he displays the bright color combinations that are characteristic of the Tsimshian culture.
