Winter Moon Mask Rylan was born in Victoria, British Columbia on October 13, 1977.He is part of the Nuu-chah-nulth nation, and has been carving since 1987.He frequently works with his father Patrick Amos and has completed a four-year apprenticeship with celebrated artist Tim Paul.Rylan commonly works in red and yellow cedar aw well as alder and yew woods.Rylan has recently begun working on limited edition prints.He also had some of his pieces in a show and did carving demonstrations at The Heard Museum in Phoenix, Arizona.Rylan has had two exhibits at the Coghlan Gallery in Langley, British Columbia and continues to develop his talent.
